Sanctuary Cove

When Nana was in town we did a short, beautiful hike in the hills behind a church. There were all colors of wildflowers blooming, I never thought I'd see such pretty flowers in the desert. It's starting to get hot, we'll have to start leaving really early in the morning for our hikes.

Happy Easter

We celebrated Easter with an egg hunt in Nana's backyard and then the basket and gift opening. Mason had loads of fun with all of it.

Feeding the Giraffes

I thought we'd do better at posting! We've been so busy; Erika was studying for an exam (which she did well on) and now Erika's mom Diane is in town. In fact we're going to be late to dinner with her because Erika is posting this. We went hiking in Sabino Canyon one weekend and the next we went to the zoo. Mason got to feed the giraffes. He loves the zoo.

Breakdancing

Mason loves to dance and has invented his own signature move, Kevin thinks he'll be breakdancing soon. Erika is playing hookie from work and waiting on Mason to wake up from his nap so everyone can go to a spring-training baseball game.

Bogsprings Hike

Last weekend we hiked in Madera Canyon of the Santa Rita Mountains to the south of Tucson. It was a beautiful hike, though challenging because we're out of shape and it was uphill. Mason rode on our backs and everyone had fun. The hike destination was a grove of sycamore trees with a water retention basin where Mason of course loved playing.

As if we had nothing better to do!

Like a true first-time parent, we want nothing more than to share photos of our Beautiful Baby Boy with the entire world! Rather than e-mailing dozens of photos, this seemed like a great way to share quickly. We can even add videos! This will encourage us to get the camera out more often. Yesterday I was using the camcorder, so I can't post it, but Mason was having so much fun with Uncle Loren's gift, he was flipping over and jumping on the ball pitt. He's a true boy. Woody is better, and Kevin thinks he found the bone at the dog park, we had to do a search when we went this weekend. Dizzy thought a wet Woody (after a bath) was a great playtoy, but Mama and Dada did not think 100lbs worth of dog running through the house while Mason was asleep was a good idea. But everyone's fine. Can't wait to post photos! Love you all! We hope you enjoy this blog.
