Sabino canyon

Who would have thought a simple idea of letting Mason get his feet wet after a long hike in the Santa Catalinas would end up with four out of six people getting soaked. It started with Mason slipping on the mildewy rocks, smack on his butt. He cried, but recovered and got back in the water. We had a spare change of clothes for Camryn, so we let her play in the water. Two down. Time to go home, so Nana tried to rinse the sand off of Camryn. Her feet got wiped out from under her when the sand gave way to the water and both her and Camryn crashed to the water. Crying baby and Nana down means Mama now had to get wet to carry wet baby. Doesn't seem right that only the women and children got wet...

Insects

Erika caught a praying mantis today. Mason wasn't as interested in it as we thought he'd be. It was still cool. He said rightaway "it's a praying mantis."

Shopping healthy

Still at the museum. We also played music. Mason didn't want to make art. He does not seem to have Erika's creative interests. We have also played a lot of trains. Next maybe the dinosaurs.

Museum again

We're back at masons favorite place, though camryn would probably ask to go there too if she could talk. They are playing in the rainforest room. Camryn is wondering where the diaper bag is so she can put the toys in it. We always end up taking something with us. Time to go make some artwork!

Library

Camryn posed for a picture at the library. We always have fun picking out books. Despite having 20 at home, Mason always wants a new thomas movie. It's great the kids like to read.
