We went to a baseball game today. It was so hot! We don't miss this Ohio humidity. It was a fun day and reds beat the cubs 7 to 5.

At the start of the hike Kevin was on the phone and Mason was complaining of being tired already. He felt better after some dried fruit.

We headed up Mt Lemmon to do a short 1.5 mile hike as a family. It was beautiful and the kids did great. Life sure is a lot more tolerable when one can escape to the mountains. Especially when its 105 deg in Tucson and 80 on Mt Lemmon.

Monsoon

July to August is monsoon season in Arizona. This sounds exciting, but it really just means a thunderstorm every day. These storms are no different than your average midwest storm, but the soil does not take to the water and we have no underground sewers, so the roads and washes fill with water. So it can sometimes be exciting. We drove to my parents house to pull a few weeds and then go to the pool, but it was pouring rain.
